Dentist wrongfully charging fee
Dentist left a voicemail 1 months ago that he likes to reschedule the appointment. I never confirmed the timing. Now after a months, they wouldn’t confirm next appointment if I don’t pay $100 and they added this $100 to my balance. I am told about this balance a month later when I try to book next appointment. They shared some application I signed 6 months ago saying they reserve right to charge $100 cancellation fee. #health #healthcare I am just angry that I am being charged unfairly. What are my options? Should I just suck it up and close the headache? This dentist is close to my home and just convenient due to distance. I had a good relationship with my previous dentist before I moved to current city.
Call them and tell them the situation, that you never confirmed the rescheduled appointment and that’s why you didn’t think you needed to cancel it. Normally if you’re nice about it, they’ll waive the fee. I’ve done it before when I had to miss an appointment because I was sick. If they still make you pay, I’d go to a different dentist because clearly that one is scammy and also pretty cheap if they’re really going to hound you for $100
