Fidelity Background Check Duration
Hey folks, I recently got an offer for Senior Data Scientist at Fidelity Investments. My background check started 3 weeks ago and it still hasn't been completed. There is an international employment record in my background and that seems to be the reason for the long duration. Could anyone else let me know how long their background check took with a similar experience? YoE: 3 Base: 155k
Fidelity background checks take a while, mine lasted almost a couple months. It’s really awful how they handle these background checks, my advice would be to just comply with them and do your best to submit any documents they request. You can’t start working until the background check clears and even your manager cannot do anything about it.
You should have held out for more salary. After you join, you’ll soon notice that your benefits (the only real reason to put up with the abuse) take half a decade to a decade to vest. Good luck you’ll need it 😂.
