Hello! I need to find a good PCP, GI, and dentist (for a cleaning) in NYC. I have Anthem BCBS HSA Plan (deductible 🙃). Been dealing with some stomach issues that have improved a bit since I made some diet adjustments but friends and family have advised me to find a good GI/Doc to figure out what I’m allergic/sensitive to and to rule out other major health issues. The first GI I went to was rated high on ZocDoc and was good in person but didn’t follow up well or give a good roadmap for how she was going to treat me. Just told me to get a colonoscopy (no follow up on when/how/why). I have OneMedical as well but the PCPs on seem less qualified (credential wise) but open to it. NYU Langone PCP are far away and are hard to gauge. In the case I need major care endoscopy/colonoscopy/lots of blood work how do y’all advise I manage costs with an HSA plan. Thank you! #findingdoctor #findingcare #lookingforadoctor #doctor #medicalcare #nyc #nycmedicalcare
Lol doctors don't actually care about your health. They get paid the same for all your general check ups from your insurance so their job is to get you in and out as soon as humanly possible. They get referrals for drugs so it's in their best interest to give you a pill to fix your problems. Additionally most doctors are clueless for the most part and rely heavily on technology to do their jobs at this point. Rich people get doctors that go to their house. Those are the ones that will care about your health.
Fair enough. I get that but I can’t snap my fingers and make myself rich or avoid getting checked
We're all in the same position. We get left with the shittiest of the shit unfortunately.
