Curious if PIP in Meta is similar to Amazon that manager can put you on PIP for whatever reason. If you do what you should do and put in effort, is it still easy to be put on PIP? All the horror stories here make me have second thoughts about join Meta. I was in Amazon before, even though I was not on PIP, but I somehow got traumatized by how manager s can just randomly put my coworker who I considered doing pretty fine on her job on PIP.
How much time does meta put you in pip for?
I haven't been worked at Amazon, but you can get put in PIP even if you're putting in the effort and doing a good job. It depends a lot on the manager and the team.
How to avoid such kind of manager? The team match process didn’t really give you enough time to learn more about the team and manager.
I don't know how the current team match process work, I guess it's harder to tell but if possible, avoid teams where everyone is one race, also Ads teams tend to have a bad reputation when it comes to WLB. Bad news is that even if you find a good manager, you can randomly get reorged, or your manager can leave. It's relatively common.
Nothing like Amazon, nothing is like Amazon
