I've been at my company for 3 years. Got an offer for 15k more. Same benefits. I like my coworkers but growth has been stagnant. What would you do? Yoe 3 Tc 90k
Will you have more growth opportunities? If so, take it. 15k jump at this career stage and relative to your current compensation is good. But the biggest thing is the growth aspect.
If you got this offer you could likely get another. If it was a different industry id probably say go for it (or it could lead to a counter with your current company?) but considering it’s the same type of work I’m not sure it’s worth the uproot. Especially if your coworkers are cool
Yeah its all about the work at an early stage imo. Keep building your portfolio on the side and applying for more interesting jobs.
I wouldn't unless I was disliking my current role or the new role had high growth potential. There's a number of unknowns involved with jumping ship (ie will I like my new role, will I like my coworkers, etc.) so if you like your current spot, you need something to overcome those potential costs in my eyes
Is the work also more interesting?
Not really. They're in the same industry, similar product.
