Having both man and woman working is bad for everyone.

First of all, I don't have a problem with woman working. I am just trying to say that dual income household(man or woman) is bad for everyone because prices of homes and goods react accordingly and now everyone needs to have both partners working Look back in earlier 1900s single income was enough. Now it's not All these things benefit corporations and fuck the individuals. And people eat it all up Fuck.

Amazon Dai-Osho Mar 28

So when are you quitting your job?

ex-Wayfair brupupup OP Mar 28

Nobody has that option now sadly 😥 it's too late Maybe someday govt needs to make restrictions, and NOT by gender but for ex each marred couple only 1 working fullyime etc

Amazon Dai-Osho Mar 28

You live in a capitalist country, with individual freedoms, government doesn’t restrict anything, unless you’re a woman then your reproductive rights! You should consider moving to a country where government imposes such restrictions, if you prefer that! We are fine with our freedoms. Price is a function of demand and supply! Affordability is a function of your income and cost of living at the location you’re at, consider moving to different location.

yeah man you really figured it out, if it was one income it would definitely adjust markets for that 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

ex-Wayfair brupupup OP Mar 28

Think about it, home prices adjust to wages. If each household has double the money home prices will react?

Wayfair amafair Mar 28

By that logic we should eliminate all wages. Then everything will become free?

Wayfair amafair Mar 28

So what's your proposal? Ban dual income households?

ex-Wayfair brupupup OP Mar 28

Not sure, idk if there's a solution. Either way corporates wouldn't go for it as they want everyone to be working and it'd be impossible to do anything like this

Wayfair amafair Mar 28

My recommendation would be for you to study some economics before coming up with these ideas.

Nordstrom lolaudh Mar 28

What would happen to non working spouse if they get divorced? Govt should ban Divorce as well?

ex-Wayfair brupupup OP Mar 28

Jesus I'm not saying we need to go back to single earner households. I was just reflecting on how it's not good

Google eiπ Mar 28

What about astronomical CEO pay?

ex-Wayfair brupupup OP Mar 28

This doesn't impact much because there are so few CEOs Dual income households impact everybody

Meta Tasso Mar 28

😂😂😂 yes both need to work, what’s wrong with that. Look at Europe, both parents typically work.

Someone call Powell and tell him we fixed inflation here!

ex-Wayfair brupupup OP Mar 28

Too late for that

Okta ncmcjf Mar 28

Solution is to allow full income splitting for tax purposes instead of mandating only one person can work in a household. You are correct that income has increased but so have productivity as more people are working and producing. So overall inflation is a wash.

Southwest Airlines ViNq87 Mar 28

I agree, this is how it works. Also another problem is bank loans, if the loans are banned, housing prices come down crashing

ex-Wayfair brupupup OP Mar 28

Finally someone with brains

Wayfair amafair Mar 28

That's like saying "hey we fixed housing prices - we did so by destroying the economy" Smh

I have an economics degree and went to a women’s college, so feel like I’m decently qualified to comment — women have always worked, especially in the 1900s and after WW1/2. The boom of industrialization that allowed single income households to thrive (and social norms that pushed middle class women into the household) isn’t sustainable especially now with the CEO/worker wage inequality. Salaries have stagnated since the 1960s. There are a lot of reasons why it’s much harder now, but women working is not as big of a reason as you think.

Microsoft JzjN03 Mar 28

I am a man with no econ degree and I approve this woman’s message

Capitalist brainwashing.
