I would rent in the best school district possible. Rent a nice apartment or modern townhouse. You cannot afford to buy in those districts.
I can scramble some loan and buy. If I keep losing the bidding war I may rent in a few months
Do you have a preapproval letter? What does it say you can afford per month? Our family makes $400k per year total and our mortgage is $8k and we are comfortable
