I've started ignoring his Slack messages
What does project 44 do and what’s your Tc? You seem so confident.
A mediocre collaborator with a good attitude makes a better team member than a 10x douchebag. Nothing that we do is very difficult
He is not even mediocre, he cannot do anything by himself
I usually help out folks that can't seem to get it. And usually after repeating the same thing twice, they get it. Consider this as a free training in tolerance / managing skills. This is a very useful skill in silicon valley.
He doesn't ever get it is the issue. I've helped him with the same kinds of things multiple times but he never seems to learn anything from it
By helping them with better mentoring.

Teach a man to fish and he can one day feed himself.
I've tried that, but he can't learn
