Is it easier to get PM jobs in the US if you don’t require sponsorship support versus if you do? What’s the best way to go about applying or getting interview calls?
Not really! Brand name and titles are considered more important.
I think with so many Americans being out of jobs and applying, having permanent residency, etc, does not make much of a difference. FYI, I have a green card, but I don't see any difference when I apply for any positions.
I mean I get that aspect of it. But do these companies actually take that into consideration when calling for interviews? I mean don’t most big tech companies not care about sponsorship status if sponsorship is available for that role (which I assume it is for most PM jobs in tech companies), or at least the claim not to.
There’s a question on most, if not all, applications that ask if you need sponsorship. I assume they can filter on that too?
