I am thinking of doing a small rendering project from scratch in rust, how’s it adoption these days in the game industry? Is it a good idea to get a little more familiar with it?
Ready At Dawn (now owned by Meta) has migrated their engine from C to Rust
There's very limited use of Rust. I just can't see it catching on in a big way in the games industry, which is geared very heavily towards c++ and c#. Maybe some low level libraries may be written in rust with c++/c# interop
Does UE use it? If not, the game industry probably doesn't.
