Tesla Offer Rescinded?
I went through the interview and technical assessment and jived really well with the HM. Received a verbal offer from the recruiter last week. Now in addition to the 10% layoff I heard that all hirings are on hold. Does this mean my job offer from Tesla has been rescinded? #hardware #interview #tesla

No word or response from the recruiter. Been trying to find out if he's part of the layoff as well.

Updates from my HM: the offers that have been approved are still good to go for now. They will keep me updated if there is any changes.

Had offer signed in January and H1B change of status approved last week, was supposed to start on Monday. Recruiter called to say that all offers are on pause, so I won’t be able to start. Now will be out of status and not enough time to find another job.
Same situation here. H1B change of status got approved last week and was supposed to start next Monday. But I haven't got any response from the recruiter yet. Not sure if the recruiter was affected by the layoff.

A verbal offer isn't an offer. You should never consider something an offer until all stages are approved. A verbal offer is "we liked you enough to ask for approval" and nothing more. Nothing was rescinded.
