I’ve been an EA in tech for a few years and I love what I do. I’m also a huge fan of ChatGBT and can see myself utilizing it to make certain aspects of my job easier, however it won’t (at this time) replace other aspects of my role. I’m curious if this community feels that the EA role will be non existent in a few years and if I should start working towards a different career path. Appreciate any advice you can offer. Thank you 🙏🏽
Yes, you solve people's problems. That can't be automated
I don’t think the EA/admin can go away. Like it cannot read my VP’s mind like I can (even though they say it can) and plan for adjustments in calendar and be available by phone for assistance while they’re traveling or a last minute urgent request. That’s just naming a few things. Especially as corps RTO, they need bodies at desks. They have a printer jam they are going to ask ChatGPT to fix?
