Org dependent. I’m very happy despite a lot of bad shit as a new hire. My work is impactful and tons of opportunity. If you’re not comfortable with changing scope constantly though probably not a great fit

If so, run away. Economy is the same to a lesser extent. Creator and parts of Engine aren't too bad though. Also, are you the same race, gender as your manager? That matters there a lot. You should ask the HM to introduce you to one of your future teammates and then ask them that question. Or connect with one on LinkedIn. It depends a lot on your manager and your own individual fit within the team. For IC5 your cross team relationships also. It is like any other company, where they will treat you better if they value you and want to keep you. Start networking now if you might join and you want a head start on that "morale"

Roblox can match 750k. It’s extremely rare and can only happen if you crack the interviews top-notch. In terms of morale, it’s mixed. No org is perfect, and each has its challenges.

Why are you leaving uber? If you decided you wanna leave Uber then you should seriously consider and join Roblox. If you are fine and comfy at Uber, then it will be a mistake to switch

Roblox doesn’t really negotiate. I’ve seen offer rescinded even with ask to improve it even modest amount. There used to be only 2 companies that roblox had fetish over and give out “above market” and uber is not one of them; not sure if this is still the case. Or you need competing offer but it is unlikely they will match. Rblx is super volatile. Roblox still give out good refresher so your next 4 year won’t go below the initial offer much unless stock crashes

The story I have is of a former colleague that I worked with from years ago. Smart guy. Happy guy. Literally everyone who worked with had nothing but good things to say about him. We called him Ned Flanders cause he never had a bad thing to say about anyone. He joined Roblox a couple of years ago. Anyway, we occasionally meet up for lunch. Like once in a blue moon. We hung out last year. Anyway, long story short, this happy, never say anything bad about anyone, was beaten down. He tried to keep up a brave face, but you can tell in his eyes that he was miserable. I never believed the "eyes are a window into your soul" saying until I saw this guy. I didn't press too much about what was wrong. I asked a mutual friend about it later and he said, yeah, it was Roblox that broke him. EDIT: I know it's a serious subject, but I find it hilarious that one person complains it's toxic, and to combat that, they make toxic personal comments about him. And I think the irony is lost on them. The interactions of some Roblox employees really confirms the toxicity IMO. I'm glad I said no to the Roblox recruiter late last year.
