외국계 IT기업을 기웃거리는 6년차 1인입니다.

클라우드 산업에 관심이 많아 AWS 공고를 많이 보고 있는데요, Engagement Manager라는 포지션이 제 업무(운영/기획/PM)와 잘 맞아 보여 지원을 고민하고 있습니다.

Engagement Manager가 보통은 고객과 직접 대면하며 준영업 성격의 업무를 하는 걸로 알고 있었고, 실제로 블라인드에서 검색해본 글에서나 구글링을 통해 찾은 다른 나라의 Engament Manager JD도 그랬는데, 아래 JD로만 보면 운영/기획/PM 느낌에 가까워 보입니다. 저는 이쪽 업무를 계속 해왔어서 JD만 보고 지원해보려는데 실제로 이런 업무를 하는 게 맞나요?

상사는 Head of Strategy & Ops라는 걸 보면 Sales랑은 다른 곳인 것 같긴 한데 제가 잘 이해하고 있는지 모르겠습니다.

그리고 워라밸이 안 좋다는 리뷰가 정말 많던데 주 52시간을 넘기는 수준인가요? 야근/초과근로수당는 잘 나오는지요?

DESCRIPTION
Job summary

In this role, Engagement Manager will report to Head of Strategy & Ops, closely working with the Korea, APAC and WW teams to drive key strategic initiatives while identifying and evaluating business growth opportunities for Korea market. This role is highly visible and influential collaborating extensively with leadership, business stakeholders, internal operations and several cross-functional teams. You will demonstrate strong executive presence in representing the organization and effortlessly navigate from strategic to tactical issues.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead and co-lead strategic planning initiatives, business review sessions, involving planning, organizing and coordinating with business leaders on crafting agenda, consolidating content, facilitating meetings and following up on action items.
• Collaborate with leadership team to determine and prioritize business strategies, and support key strategic programs and initiatives to ensure key actions are being captured, tracked, and completed
• Build and sustain strategic executive presentations with regional and global stakeholders and cross-functional teams; Work closely with executive communications (as applicable) to support speaking engagements on behalf of the country manager
• Lead rigorous process improvement efforts, along with complex problem solving

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of related experience in strategy planning, business operations or business/sales development or project management
• Advanced understanding of sales processes with a demonstrated ability to execute in sales organizations in new markets and/or with new capabilities
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• Great verbal/written communication and influencing skills
• Bachelor’s degree or above

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Maters/MBA degree preferred
• Proven experience working closely with senior leaders in a fast paced environment
• Strong business acumen in Tech industry is plus
• Self-starter thriving in a dynamic, global, fluid matrix environment
