Question for women who workout: Lately I am noticing a lot of women wear ultra thin yoga pants and it seems like nude or as if they don’t have anything underneath. Or in most cases women wear thong underneath, which you can clearly make out visually. While as a man I enjoy the view at my gym . What is women’s motivation, is it to show off their body or comfort ? I know there are thicker tough pants what are not so revealing, why not wear those ? On thong so uncomfortable (especially while working out) and not good for hygiene? Women , please explain.
It's to show off Also the lighting in gyms is different so you wouldn't realize how transparent things are until you're already there.
As a woman who doesn’t intend to show off I think there’s a good chance they don’t realize how thin the material is. Or a brand used to be known for being sturdier and they have downgraded the materials in the past few years. Lululemon is definitely guilty of that.
These popular brands seem to be cheaping out once the logo becomes the selling point for sure.
As a guy who’s been married close to 25 yrs and has a teenage daughter, let me offer my unsolicited opinion- Lot of things women do are not specifically to impress or get attention from men. Rather it is like a nuclear arms race - where they see a woman wearing something sexy and they want to do the same or outdo her. Thats it. They do this to feel good abt themselves Ofcourse, getting attention is bonus.
Sexy for who 🤔 It's to get attention from men.
Definitely agree on this. They like attention but being "better" than their peers is even more motivating. Kinda similar to men where men compete more openly like in sports or open floor competitions while women seem to compete covertly
As someone who works out 4 days a week, leggings are pretty much a staple. Especially black leggings. I have a wide variety and there might be some that are more transparent than others. It’s REALLY hard to tell when you’re buying it or even when you’re putting it on at home. So, atleast for me, the answer is - I have way too many and I just reach for any legging that’s comfortable and clean. I honestly don’t know which one is ‘too’ transparent. I can promise you that if I notice people starting to stare at my butt while I’m working out, this might change and I WILL get conscious. Thongs on the other hand - I don’t get. I’m not comfortable wearing it but I feel the same way about high heels and I know women who are extremely comfortable with both.
Thanks for a logical explanation. Women in my household also wear yoga pants and they look elegant , but some women at my gym leave nothing to imagination (every curve , wedge is openly visible ) especially when the yoga pants are nude color :)
Which gym do you go to ? Might need to do some in person inspection to get to the root of it .
Keep wearing see through leggings. In fact. Don’t wear leggings at all. Just wear a g string. In fact. Don’t even wear that.
Or just wear a post it sticker on the vag. In fact. Don’t even wear that. 😂
The line you will get is something like “it’s not for men, it’s because it makes me feel good.” People feel good when they think they will be perceived well by others. So whether it’s a conscious decision or not, it’s just because it looks good. It might also be comfortable, but so are basketball shorts and loose underwear, but you will never see women wearing that
The simplest explanation is the best one and true most of the time.
Nope that's a stupid misinterpretation of Occams razor
I think the real question is translucent vs opaque, not thin vs thick
Why is water wet?
Because your head is filled with sawdust?
Don’t know about water but I would like to see them yoga pants wet. Ps: chillax apple
