Given the current state of the car market, I am interested in buying a new luxury SUV (something like Tesla X or Range Rover sport). When do you think would be the best time to buy one financially, new or used?
BMW iX. Model X is a good car and would have recommended it until 2 years back, but not now. If you are willing to splurge a bit more, EQS is awesome, and 2024 comes packed with level 3 driving tech. Audi etron Q8 is not as much fun as iX, but the car is luxurious, and the ride is very comfortable.
If you’re getting an expensive EV seriously consider leasing it instead. Lots of big incentives out there.
Just get a maxed out Mazda or Toyota. Enough luxury with reliability.
Disagree about Toyota. At the fully loaded trims you’re better off getting a Lexus. Slightly more money for a car with better residuals and more luxurious features.
A maxed out Mazda 3 Hatchback or CX5 is just as luxurious as a Lexus for almost half the cost. It’s a better purchase than a base Lexus which isn’t really luxurious at all.
Best time is always when you can afford it
Stop squandering money. Just get a used car.
Tesla does not make luxury cars. Range Rovers need some TLC. But they can be quite nice. The best time to buy a luxury car is when you want one. For luxury goods, it is about a want.
This man is wise
Tesla X
Your Tesla bags can’t be saved brotha
What do you mean? People who can't afford should just buy that. I have model y, its the best car. I feel so good I didn't buy the other brands. Autopilot and high tech, the acceleration, is so efficient and enjoyable
Anything range will have you pay double just for maintenance costs.
Bought a Rav4 Hybrid. Got 7% off. How? Had different dealerships give me numbers when I was ready to buy immediately. Had them fight for my business. all on email/text. Had previously test driven a RAV4 hybrid before so knew I wanted one.
Get a Rivian instead of an X. The X is complete shit.
Model X is not a luxury car. Also best decision financial is to get a bare bones car that's enough to serve the utility you are looking it to serve
Nor is it an SUV.
