Feel left out and unheard in meetings

I have a weekly meeting with another manager and his direct report. My manager doesn’t attend those meetings as he wants this other manager to lead this work. During the meetings even while I am presenting the manager has a conversation with his direct report. The direct report then needs to show his work and I am interrupted and give the projecting cable to him. This has become a pattern. Then they end up discussing on how to solve the problem whose solution I was about to review. I am fairly experienced and don’t need this managers guidance per se and also am a lot more experienced than this other engineer at least in the project that we are on. The engineer and I are at the same level while the manager is a few levels above us both. We both are senior staff while the manager / lead is senior principal. Am I reading too much into stuff ? Any suggestions on how to deal with this? I am also trying to look for jobs elsewhere but no one is able to match current TC 380k

People try to outsmart the smarter one's, mainly jealousy and incompetence. We should be in such peers where collaborating and letting others rise is seen as a part of good culture. People at top never compete, they collaborate.

Talk to your manager and say that they aren’t really interested in hearing you out. Then stop attending this meeting for a couple of times . That will send the msg

If your manager and the other are both male and you are female, this is a common occurrence. Raise this as a concern. Talk over the other engineer, say that they have to stop interrupting you. But, in the real world the only answer is to move away from them.

Do you think this is happening because you are a woman?
