How did US deteriorated so quickly?
I remember that even during Covid , people were doing kind of ok. There were struggles but majority of us kept our sanity . Now we have : - Extreme crime in major US cities with no consequences - Protests disrupting Ivy League universities - High influx of illegal migrants entering the country without any checks - Squatters having more rights than a home owner Essentially it feels you are just losing by making an honest living, paying taxes and putting an effort to improve your life . How did so much changed for the worse in just a few years ?
Squatters were still an issue during and pre covid. There hasn't been any significant legislation changes on that front for a long time. Crime nationally is down. Immigration only becomes problematic when the dude opposite of your political bias gets in office. This is true for both red and blue. Perception is king. So who controls your perception controls your sense of reality.
Immigration was not an issue 4 years back . We were not seeing cities getting overloaded due to migrants . Also i see that you very cleverly left out the disruptions in universities happening due to these mindless protests in your response
Yes it was. Or maybe you forgot about all the protests and problems with kids in cages etc. The 'problem' that you're concerned with is correlated to political bias. When a dem is in office it's "immigrant floods" when a repub is in office it's "mistreatment of people". There have always been campus demonstrations. There always will be.
