How is it that many of my fellow Indian colleagues or acquaintances are so rough?

I keep wondering if its something I'm doing or its my fault. Im an Indian FOB and it always seems my fellow Indian friends are kind of rough and competitive.

Its just that everything with them seems so crude and untoward, Im trying to make friends but most seem so different in terms of personality & interests.

It could be jealousy or insecurity. They probably grew up in a competitive household.
Some of the Indians on my team are super nice and very secure. Some aren't like this, but I'm not surprised about some extremes.
