Joining a Startup

Ask for number of outstanding stocks, money raised so far. How much do they expect in next round. Expected employee count by next year. When do they expect to be profitable? Things you need to figure out yourself - competitors, expected valuation, what’s your stock percentage, expected dilution by the time they exit, expected stock count by the time they exit, and how much will you end up making. But the most important thing to watch out for - is the leadership trustworthy or will they screw the employees in the end? How is your immediate manager. Are you expected to work on weekends?
