My job at Google was impacted and I have like 60 days as I’m on h1b not sure how this will impact my prospects in the current market. Any leads referrals will be appreciated
I was given an option of taking severance back in the day which I declined as there was good progress happening with my projects fast fwd to 3 months I ended up losing the job just to clear the air
Ok
Just FYI, if you're ever given an option to take severence, there's no way that you're not going to lose your job. PIPs are designed for you to fail, not succeed. You only end up on a PIP if your manager and their manager have decided you need to go. PIP is designed to cover the ass of your employer, not actually designed to improve your performance.
Sorry to hear! Big tech is trash nowadays, Google is pip factory. Good luck!
you are in the supply chain area? (or you are software engineer?)

Google is still doing layoff ? Aren’t just start hiring ?
Apply to startups, they usually move fast in hiring given that short time window you have. Heirloom is a startup I know hires people in supply chain.
Wait, there's another wave of layoff?

Fired? I didn't know they did layoff
why does it matter to you ? the OP is in a difficult situation- help them or move on
If he's fired then you have to ask why - it's possible he did something which makes him undeserving of our help and sympathy. Last guy I saw get fired was behaving inappropriately with an intern. I would not wanna help that guy
