Hello blinders. I hope you all are staying mentally and physically healthy throughout this period. I recently had an interview at Penske for Position: Senior data scientist Type: Contracting for at least 6 months, maximum upto 1 year. General responsibilities: Communicate with IT, product owners and other data scientsts around projects. Mentor junior to mid data scientists. Be the technical lead on data science related projects. Salary: At most $70.00/hour. Interview process: 4 rounds (1st: conversation to get to know HM and talk a little bit about ML projects, 2nd: 45 min to 1 hour technical interview going over Python programming, 3rd: 45 to 1 hour doing a machine learning project, 4th: meet with managers and directors). I thought this was excessive for a contracting interview. Was wondering what others think?
Maybe not bad if it has a chance at conversion. 70/hr seems low, I negotiated a contract role before, shoot for 75-80 imo.
Yah I thought it was low as well considering the responsibilities and the level of the role.
