Naive point of view. You don’t realize every homeowner is renting from government and pays big bucks aka taxes for right to keep the home and then more money to insure the home and then even more money to keep the home in good condition.
And if for some reason that bay area storage shed sized home you bought for 3mm falls (with 8% mortgage) to half value sure are even more genius of you
As a land lord, Ive been able to stop working and just raise rents on my tenants. Then I like rage posts like this online. It doesnt get any better than this.

Well renters can’t raise by much because ppl will then just go buy homes. Renting only works if the invested difference between rents and mortgages is larger than home appreciation.
