Do you guys know if there are coupon codes or discounts available for Trek bikes. Planning to buy Domane Al3, if I get discount then Domane AL5
If it's an aluminum frame or a steel frame, you'll most likely be able to see the damage to the frame. As for the rest, I just replaced my Trek's cassettes, my brakes, all the cabling, my tube, and my tire for $400. Look at the new price on the bike you end up getting. I'd recommend you stay away from the $400 new ones, unless that's all you can budget for it. My bike was $700 new in 2004 - this marks my 20th year with this bike - it's worth it to invest in a decent one. You don't have to buy a $2000 bike, but, paying for a bit of quality is worth it.

If you consider value in second hand bikes, do check them out. Most of the bikes are rarely used and go easily at 50% off. I got my first Trek bike on craigslist
Thanks for responding. Im new to picking a bike. Do you think its ok to pick a bike from face book market place or craigslist (what if the bike is somehow damaged and I can’t pick the damage in first instance)
