Some even have only 6000 sqft Is it depressing to love in a small lot?
Most lot sizes in Bay Area are that size. It’s plenty of space.
It’s better to love in a small lot than not love at all
Because real estate is valuable in cities and big yards are a waste of space for most people
Local codes accept it
I’d rather developers stop ruining cities with suburban sprawl and car dependency entirely with single family housing. If you want a single family home, deal with a longer commute and pay higher taxes to compensate for the proportional expense that your lifestyle choices impart on counties due to the high cost of road maintenance and lower density.
6000 sq ft is plenty, bhaga bhaga ke kyu leni hai
God that language is so ugly looking and sounding
Market demand vs how much people are willing to pay. Most people don’t want or can’t afford an acre+ in a major city.
Correct. But 0.25 acre is not big
Never said it was. Big is measured in sq miles, not acres.
We have way too many SFH in Seattle with way too large of lot sizes. It's contributing to the housing crisis. Things are slowly improving though. ADUs didn't help, most people built them for Airbnb but now I think they're slowly renting them out. That helps a little.
5000 sq ft lots have been standard in every American city since the 19th century
Construction companies maximizing their profit
It sucks. We should ban any sfh with less than 10000 sqft
You’ll live in Kent then
