Work life balance was ok and some people that worked there really were passionate and truly cared about fixing the auto buying and selling experience.
A significant majority “Senior leadership” (below c suite to directors) on the tech side especially in product were clueless often. Most of them were men that came from legacy auto industry companies that pretend to be experts in their field. In reality they lacked vision, depth, execution and simply egged each other on by validating terrible ideas to look loyal or pretend to understand the situation. This is NOT a tech company. The company bragged about diversity but in reality that doesn’t exist in leadership positions where it mattered the most. The valuation of the company and the foundational business is smoke and mirrors. Executives have milked hundreds of millions from investors and are now just trying to keep it alive.
