Sorry to hear this. Feel free to dm for a referral. https://www.twilio.com/company/jobs#open-positions
This sucks but at the same time ... How can they afford to have 25k underperforming employees ?
It's a mass recruiter company!
Because someone else pays for them and they get their share.
Way to ruin their prospects on the open market
Just as employees say that they should share salaries with other employees. Corporations should share with other corporations who the low performers are.
That’s an interesting belief to hold.
Low performers can improve and pay taxes. Consider the health of your state and federal budgets right now.
Lol why would a company care about the federal budget...
Filthy Company. Would love many such companies like Infosys, TCS etc.. to announce such lay offs. They hire cheap labor with cheap politics and worst outcome. I am glad now employees would end up in a better place
Correct
Is it mainly Indian's?
It sucks hopefully they will find new jobs soon.
Before people are snarky and disparaging towards Accenture employees, recognize that they are real people. Job loss is devastating.
Right. People have family, kids to support and bills to pay. They are not likely to be "low performers". More likely to be resources that are expendable in view of current covid-19 recession worldwide. Tagging employees as "low performers" make it easier to get rid of extra resources without being sued for "fairness"
I knew a guy killing it at Accenture, great reviews all around, but he was for some reason or another assigned to a project outside of his cost center with a big n client. Great feedback from them too. Laid off. It's definitely not just the underperformers.
Sheesh. This is why I’m trying to get to industry man. The consulting life is trash.
Agree esp when you get hire by Indian companies such TCS, Accenture, Wipro,ETC Clueless employers with no shame
lol, never thought Accenture was Indian company
Accenture usually does that every year , may be around 3 percent . i think this year this is just magnified.
3% is what they announce. This is more than likely not the annual bench sitters, low performance. Similar to how everyone is mentioning % cuts but not mentioning consulting since they aren't "actual" employees. Number is probably closer to 5-7%
Can you refer me
The fact that 5% of their workforce is 25,000 people 🤯
That is wild.
The fact I have never heard of them despite that... lol
