I recently got an allergy test, and turns out I’m allergic to ALOT, including my cats :( Has anyone tried allergy immunotherapy before? I know the process is long, and I’m curious what’s been others experience throughout the treatment, and how well it worked.

Am I racist if I don’t want to marry a Southeast Asian? (Korean here)
Worked really well for me with dustmites. Had it for 3 years and my quality of life has improved massively. Did not regret it.
How did u do this test? Is it pathology or skin prick? I had done skin prick in 2018
Skin prick is not reliable and even has false positives. Just because you had a reaction on your skin doesn’t actually mean you’re allergic. Blood test is always better.
I also am allergic against nearly all pollen, so I have fun from December (hazel) to September (Ambrosia) with nearly no pause. Mostly eyes itching and sneezing, but also developed an allergic asthma. Since it has been getting worse every year, I am doing a sublingual immunotherapy for beech and grasses (both are my worst allergies) right now, startet Jan 23. This year, I have much less issues, and didn't need the asthma spray once so far (and beech is mostly over now for this year). No side effects that I noticed.
I had a friend to through it. Takes a long time but it's very manageable. Huge increase in their quality of life.
Op was it a blood test?
I dont want to fearmonger so please search for this in detail from reliable scientific resources and studies. But I heard from someone close to me that he developed cancer (lukemia) after immunotherapy of 3 years. Appearantly it messed up his immune system.
Kinda hard to prove where your cancer came from. Could be a total coincidence and only a correlation.
Totally agree. My initial search showed some studies that show a correlation of allergies to blood cancers but i am not knowledgable in the area to pass any judgement.
