Here are three stats about how your money is increasingly useless after the most recent inflation report
Hey all, I recently received an offer from Amgen to work a contract role for 6 months. Its a 6 month to hire role and the hourly rate they offered is $94 an hour... Thats pretty insane if you ask me. But Im worreid about them not extending the offer after the contract ends I had a friend who did contract work for Viasat and they told him the same thing as far as it being a 6 month to hire. He told me the company wasnt doing so hot and did some layoffs. Then at the end of his contract they offered to sign him on again for another year instead of hiring him full time.... In which he declined to work on a contract position again. His pay wasnt nearly as good so he told me the fact Amgen is offering me a rate that high is really promising. I have a full time offer as a Solutions engineer I am declining for this contract role at Amgen as Id rather work as a software engineer. Im just afraid that at the end of the 6 month contract I wont get an offer full time... Any advice or past experiences anyone might have would certainly be helpful. If anyone knows anything about past Amgen contract to hires please feel free to comment below.
It’s pretty team and role dependent. If it’s through an official program then it might be slightly broader visibility (hiring heroes etc) but I know some teams do alot of individual contract to hire and if it works out they prefer to extend the offer
Thank you this is really good information to know. Im not familiar with Hiring heroes so Im assuming its not an official program
