24M Indian. Joined Amazon right after my graduation. It’s been 2years I joined Amazon. For the past few weeks, I constantly fear about the direction of my life and what I will be doing. These thoughts don’t let me sleep (not even an hour) and focus on my work. Usually go on hikes every week and meet few friends but still my constant thought is “2 years just flew away not doing much what satisfies me. What if I die leading this routine life?” Talked to my friends about this and they say I should be happy about what I have and chill. But I am constantly looking for something what makes me feel proud about myself and live my life to the fullest which is definitely not working for someone. I feel like moving back to India and setup my business there. But that will bring me back to zero and leaving my comfortable life which I am okay to sacrifice but can’t dare enough since I don’t know how well it will workout. Consulted therapist, they suggested to take time off which made it more worse. Is it something everyone goes through? How do I come out of this? L5 SDE TC: 290k
find girls and bang , everything should fix once you solve your testosterone
You are just 24 and very confused. Sit it out. Relax. There's whole life ahead of you. Include new routines, learn something new, take therapy. Find a girlfriend.
Be grateful for what you have!
Create a workout or fitness routine, start helping others like student guidance
No dating and social life ?
How was your Ms experience? Planning for Ms but dont wanna feel like you after getting high TC offer
In 1998 with 2YOE and a PhD my TC was around $70k. That's $140k today. You are pulling down twice that...with a bachelor's. Stop whining. If your life is so dull quit and get another job. Just don't complain how difficult it is for you. You are embarrassing yourself in public.
It’s the golden handcuffs. You could quit and start your own company. You could move to a company with better WLB to do what you like. As long as you stay in FAANG it’s a comfortable monotonous life unless you get on a good team
These thoughts will go away as you age and your soul dies a little. Once you reach your 30s you will realize life is a lot longer than you thought in your 20s. In short, chill the fuck out.
