Anxiety of raising kids in US alone

My entire family live thousands of miles away and I am super anxious that something might happen to my kid. I guess this is coming from a point that I don't see it in my self thaf I can be guardian of someone else and also reading crimes. I have bad dreams of losing my kid that woke me up several times a month. How can I stop those dreams? I am tired of that.

Do you have a husband or wife? You shouldn’t be alone in raising kids unless you’ve experienced an unfortunate separation.

Have faith in god. Ram rakha.

What crimes are targeting children? Do you live in a city with lots of trafficking or something?

You're worrying too much. Millions of kids grow up in the US.

Go see a therapist, this is not something blind can/should help.

You need to find a legal guardian who is also a citizen living in the United States. Don’t think that “my family will just take care of my kid”, that’s not a given if you should die prematurely. We had these misconceptions as well, until we spoke with an attorney. In that case, guardianship may easily end up with foster parents. Find an attorney to help walk you through this and get this into a will or into trust documents.

If you are a single parent, I feel you. If your spouse lives with you, your family lives here. If you consider your parents as your family, you are still a kid and should not be raising children.

Are you a new parent? These thoughts are common after birth but should fade in some months. Hope you mentioned to your physician. Otherwise, make sure to have a legal guardian in mind as others have said.

Not just in mind. In a will or trust papers.
