Any industries or locations where tech is safer?
With layoffs all around, tech is a hard field to be in now. Are there specific industry segments or locations within USA where tech jobs are relatively shielded? Aside from the obvious - GenAI related
You'd need to move countries for a chance at that.

There are no segments or locations that are immune to layoffs. If you do find yourself unemployed, it will be easier to find another job if you are in a tech center like the Bay Area or Seattle or if you are willing to work for the government or a government contractor (if you are a citizen). OP, you may also find it easier to find a job in your home country if you are in the US on a visa.
