Had a breakup and now I regret it...I was unhappy with her, but I think that stemmed out of my childhood experiences where I believe I don't deserve love (my parents are very loving and caring and did the best they could so no complaints whatsoever for them). Anyhow the relationship got over and later when I tried getting her back, she moved on faster than I could imagine and stopped responding although and said it was the best for both of us, we were in a live in for over a year..I am not sure what to do, whether I will be able to find someone again the way I felt for her..just sad and mulling over it. I am 31 yrs old and have a pressure to settle down as well and not feel like talking to any other women although it's been about 6 months we broke up. TC: 105k
Then why did you break up?
Live and learn. Go to therapy. It’s ok, there are plenty of good potential matches out there. Your ex isn’t special, despite how you feel. It’s tough. Fill your time up with meaningful activities and you will heal. Don’t skip therapy, as it will give you tools to prevent a similar breakup.
I’m in a similar boat as you. The flashbacks of all the good times are going to hurt like a b!tch, no doubt about that, but don’t try to escape from these feelings. You need to heal internally before you let someone else into your life. Take your time. Focus on your career. Prove to yourself that you’re just enough and don’t need anyone else to depend on. All of this easy to say but please know that this too shall pass. Good luck with everything!
Thank you!
