With 5-6 years of experience, I have been hearing MTS at AMD is getting 190k+15% bonus, Senior Staff at Marvell is getting 195k+15% bonus. It is unbelievable how much tier-2 or 3 companies are offering. And we’re closing the gap with SW. What’s the catch? I think Nvidia and Apple pay scale is very close. Did every company take a lesson from WSB and start to gamble? #semiconductor #hardware
All bright engineers are being hogged by big 4, so others are upping their game, Even intel G7 pay is now same level as MTS of AMD
200K is peanuts honestly esp in Hcol
TC will be easy 300k. It is not peanuts for 5 YOE.
Money is worth considerably less every day

Oh yeah! Been at NVIDIA 3 years. Only had ~5% cumulative base increase, meanwhile inflation has gone up ~19% in the same time period. I’ve essentially been given a 15% pay-cut for three years of hard work, stress, and putting up with BS… oh, and I’ve already had 5 managers.
Don't worry Amd makes its up with 🥜 refreshers, there's a great chance you will same stock grant for years (no increase in total vesting). They pay long term employees 50% of that Don't trust on 15% bonus mostly you get half of it.
They are using inflated stock to bring in more employees who will get fkd when the stock drops, look at ARM and AMD this month, both dumped 30% and are likely to drop further.
I’m talking about base pay
May be Nvidia is paying you too much
You must take grammar lessons first 🤣🤣
