Why is the Indian govt not speaking up about this? Indians being sent to Israel to farm as replacements for Palestinian workers are being forced into defacto slavery by the Israelis, not being paid the wages they are due and being made to live in inhumane conditions. https://foreignpolicy.com/2024/04/25/israel-agriculture-india-palestinians-foreign-workers-rights/
Get in line. American taxpayers are slaves to them as well
We had a lot of demand for Indian nurses in Isarel .. that’s how people went there, then they started finding loopholes in immigrations and started taking all the uncles and aunties.. so let them go work.
Maybe they’ll learn a lesson to not support Israel but I doubt they will.
🤣 ah so this is what it is- sorry no. Do you know Indian farmers get paid shit in India, they also get beaten up by their landlord.. it’s better in Isarel. Or they would need to find a place in Kerala
Worse happens when they go to qatar, UAE and other middle eastern countries. Op and you seem to only care when it's Israel lol.
Literally every country in middle east does worse. They keep their passports and make them actual hostages. Qatar, UAE, Oman, Saudis every one.
why does that make it okay? what-aboutism makes right?
This is well known and happening for decades, why does this irk you now? Is it because it's Israel?
Go See the film The Goat Life - you will how Indians are treated in some Middle East countries
Op is only worried when it's Israel. 😆 some folks really want indians on their side and keep trying hard.
Even Indians don't want Indians on their side based on the responses
They also asked to sign no sex contracts…….wtf now they gotta resort to muths…
Israel stood by us in good times and bad. Random China reporter from Hong Kong can't be trusted for unbiased reporting. We know who we can trust and who we cannot. 😆 They are like Russia, we may not agree but will remain friends.
Foreign Policy is an internationally respected publication. Do you deny the contents of the claims by the Indians cited in the article?
Reporting a story of someone I know isnt good journalism tbh. Even aljazeera was a respected news source apart from not reporting on Qatari affairs. But recently their propaganda and biases has been worse than Alex Jone's infowars lol. It's best to check the source and author of the article and understand where he's coming from. This one smells of propaganda.
So let me get this straight about this article from an independent journalist. The workers employer claimed he was never employed there, they referenced another independent worker but didn’t give any other references, and his brother, who supposedly knew this was going on, got him the job? Lol Here’s an actual source bud: https://m.economictimes.com/nri/latest-updates/we-love-our-indian-friends-israel-says-as-workers-flock-to-fill-in-jobs/amp_articleshow/107419143.cms
A local news reporter was interviewing the applicants about their opinions on seeking work in a nation that looked like getting entangled in a large scale regional war. The visibly dirt poor applicants generally stated that it couldn't possibly be any worse than the other middle eastern countries that treat their employees like slaves and abused them. Whatever Israel does to them is still likely far better than the other options they had. You can say it's whataboutism but frankly why the sudden interest? It's been happening for ages. Are you trying to point out that Israel is still a better option for the desperately poor than the other countries? Who do you expect to do what about it?
Pro pali folks can turn anything into anti Israel propaganda, as always.
Dude we have billion people.. we don’t have that many jobs in India.. these people need to go somewhere?? We don’t even have enough place like China to have our farmlands.. people need to do something to make a livelihood
but at least pay them what they are due in the contracts they are signing. that is the least Indian govt can ask for. you can't just sell Indians into defacto slavery abroad
lol no! If they feel they are treated wrong, get a one way ticket back. Unless they are kept as hostages or they are sold to hamas - india gov has nothing to do with our personal choices. Come on! You know the truth
