International travel with H1B after transfer
I recently left Stripe and joined a new company. I have an approved 797 for the new company and my stamped Stripe visa is valid until 2025. Will I be able to reenter the country using my stamped Stripe visa and my new 797 since the stamping on my visa is still valid? Or will I have to get a new stamped visa for my new company. #h1b #workvisa #stamping
Employer name on Visa is just an annotation. Visa is valid as long as you have a valid I-94
You don’t need a stamping based on your new job. You can show your existing visa and new petition in the poe and they will let you in. Make sure they update your i94 based on the new Petition Expiry date instead of the stamped visa end date to avoid any future chaos.
You won't need a new stamp. But be sure to show the new I797 to the CBP officer when you're re-entering even if he doesn't ask for it. Or else your I-94 is going to show the old date.
