Hello, I have applied for stem OPT and the receipt date is Feb 3, 2024. I didn't go for premium filing because it's costly. It's been 3 months and I don't have any update on my case yet. Is there a general delay going on currently? Has anyone applied during Feb and already received an update on their case? #workvisa #stemopt #OPT #F1 #studentvisa
I applied feb 16 yet no update, know friends who applied in December and they recently received approval but no card yet

It's taking so long. Let me know when you have any updates.
I heard the wait time is 4 months on average. You can always upgrade to a premium if there is an employer who cannot wait.
Thank you for your response. I don't have an employer issue, I can wait. It makes me a bit anxious though π . Also, I can see I can submit an inquiry after one more month. But wanted to get a general sense if students in general are experiencing this delay.
