I am looking to purchase used SUV. Online search via car fax led me to a dealer in South Carolina. I am from California. Any tips to avoid fraud in the transaction ? How do most ppl who buy used car go about it ? Are there any trusted sites or auto broker who can broker the deal ?
I've bought 2 vehicles of Craigslist successfully. They're cheaper there, but you have to be careful. I've had to do about $1k of repairs agter purchase on one of them but I knew about it at the time of purchase and it was still cheaper If money is tight, I'd recommend Craigslist. If you have a little cash flow, then carmax or similar websites are the most stress-free used car services out there, but you do pay a premium for it Also better to buy close to you
Do not pull such stupid stunts.

Meta E6 offer.
You gonna buy without checking it out? Damn. Also, shipping is $$$$ and you will need to register it yourself (pain in the ass)
I do need to get it checked. Hence wondering how folks here go about it, if I have to make an online purchase .
