I recently gained Canadian PR from outside of Canada. I was originally looking for jobs in Canada, but was advised by someone to look for hybrid jobs in Seattle and live in Vancouver. The person who advised me said she heard of someone who managed, but wouldn't connect me with that person (they are probably not close). Has someone here attempted something similar? I would assume I would still need H1B to work in the US right? Canadian PR alone would not grant me any exceptions (e.g. TN visa) right? Thanks. #workvisa #h1b

Here are three stats about how your money is increasingly useless after the most recent inflation report
Don’t do this period, just talk your employer sayin due to PR u would like to work from Vancouver but willing to travel to Seattle as hybrid or workout something. You will have bad tax implication and if your employer finds out you are just creating problems and will get kicked out.
Yeah I have double taxation due to move last year and the taxes were horrible. Canada provides foreign tax credit but there is a cap which is ridiculously low if you are a high earner which everyone in tech is.
Good to know. From the beginning, without any research, I was already concerned whether the tax implications would be worth the higher pay in the US… are you on any work authorisation in the US btw?
