non-tech 3-1 offer from TikTok in Seattle. Any suggestions on negotiating offers? Base 240 Bonus 25% RSU: 750 units for 4 years 170$/RSU Vesting cycle: 20-25-25-30% no sign-on, no relocation Currently 180k base salary with 220k TC working remotely in Minnesota. YOE: 10 years strategy ops/analytics background Asked for sign-on bonus, but told they only negotiate when there is a competing WRITTEN offer. I do have two verbal offers from other companies, but they are asking the same. How much room for negotiation? #tiktok #negotiate #salary
Looks good. My pay structure is close but ended at $220k base, 25% bonus and 2,200 RSU. I’m 3-1 in a similar cost of labor region.
thx. Did you negotiate to get more RSU? 2200 RSU seem to be way more than what 3-1 offers.
curious are you a product manager?
Not even location? wtf that's kinda lame of them, you're not exactly close by Did you ask for cash heavy offer? (i.e less stock)
I did ask for cash heavy offer. 240k was my bottom line to support my family to live in Seattle. So I made it clear to them at the very beginning.
I see, did you try pushing on relocation at all? Curious because I'm expecting an offer also and have move coast to coast, no relocation would blow Also, if you have competing offers that are similar TC have them send the numbers via email and you can use that proof in that way
I got a sign on bonus after asking. No written competitive offer
Make sure to ask for sign on bonus.
Base can touch 260k RSU very low Ask for sign on bonus - you need to tell them you won’t join if no sign on bonus (I did same) Remember Seattle is expensive place to stay !
What role is this for?
Quite low
Probably not much room on the base. Bonus is same for everyone. You probably have room on RSU at 3-1. I got a 50k signing bonus for 2-1 in engineering… I did not have to show any other offers but said I was between them and google (I had an interview scheduled lmao) and they immediately bumped me
Will your role be people managing?
Wow insanely good offer. I doubt they negotiate a lot, at all.
Thanks for chiming in. Are you serious?
Yes. 100%. For a non tech role, very high
