I was told by my recruiter last Thursday that I will be getting an L5 Program manager offer from Amazon after passing their interviews but she will need to do a team match first. How long does this process usually take? Should I be doing anything? I searched the topic and worried about posts saying people waiting for months and nothing happening. The recruiter said within a week but just wondering if anyone has experience. Thanks! #pm
Seems odd. Most offers that are extended are dealt with quickly. L5 PM work is tough at Amazon. You are expected to move the needle on big initiatives, but can’t get anyone with enough influence to put your projects on their roadmap bc you’re only an L5. To be successful you will need to make connections with the right people and hope that your work aligns to a Big Rock. Good luck!
Thanks! I appreciate the info and feedback. Hopefully I get team matched soon.
^^^this.
Why team match? Did you apply to a general listing? I've always had interviews for a specific team.
I did apply to a senior PM role, but the recruiter instead said they can offer me L5 instead of L6, and I agreed. Maybe that’s why?
It still doesn't make sense to me if you already did the interviews. Normally the first interview after the screen is with a hiring manager. Perhaps they are doing things differently.
Why do you want to be here?. Please run.
