I am a SWE and real estate investor. The investor side of me finds it always hard to find good contractors who can do proper fix and flip. Over that, there is no visibility into pricing and project status. I built the mvp app to help investors like me find contractors. Is it worth pursuing more ? Any beta testers - would prefer investors and someone who exho with this problem statement Tc 400
Thumbtack?
My first guess
Thumbtack caters to residential market more. Additionally, they work on lead generation business model and don’t care about the project completion or tracking. If you are investor you would know Thumbtack is not the place for investors to find contractors
I can give feedback, but your toughest sell is finding contractors to use it...
I think you are right. This is more of supply problem than demand problem. Moreover, contractors not being tech savvy and also busy on the field all day, could add more friction into adoption. Hopefully, can talk to a few contractors and understand the infliction points
There's already tools out there kind of for this and resources for this type stuff Where you can sell it is providing contractors leads... And your leads are homeowners looking for services.... But you assume some risk how you going to manage the contractors and where's your money coming from. Contracts won't want to pay neither will home owners... Unless you give them something
No one is going to use it
Would love to hear the reasoning behind your thought process!
Op the reasoning of this person is jealousy
Homeowner or investors will definitely use it. But most contractors aren’t going to use it. They are not tech savvy neither have time or interest in such stuff. How do you plan to make money? Investors might be willing to pay.
I would definitely be interested in this
