After year 1, you get all of the RSUs for year one all at once, and the year 2 RSUs start vesting quarterly. It's not that the year one RSUs start vesting quarterly in year 2, and everything is pushed back from there. The year 1 payment is just delayed. (Also I typo'd on the ESPP valuation.) Take the asana offer. It is only upsides. Then if you really want, jump back to Google at L5/6 in a year or two and get the fat Noogler grant.
