Buying a $2500 coffee machine

I work remotely at home. Is it reasonable to spend $2500 on a coffee machine? I drink 2 coffees a day I’m thinking of buying Jura E8 Tc 195

🤦

Why?

Google togethe Mar 27

You will likely get bored and feel lazy to use it 3 months in. Not worth it.

If you just drink drip coffee (like me), then a $200 grinder + brewer would do. Jura etc makes sense if you drink cappuccino, espresso etc. And for that, 2500 is actually reasonable

So much for an automatic machine?

Amazon Selector Mar 27

Yes, as long as you expense it as office supplies

Google lolllama OP Mar 27

Can I do that if I work for an employer?

Amazon Selector Mar 27

You have a g-card, just go for it. When your manager questions it tell him that you looked and didn't find a policy that covers this specific use case. You won't get a superb next cycle but odds are that you aren't superb eligible WFH anyway

You should spend money on what makes you happy. What’s a good investment for you may not be for others.

Buy a semi automatic. Will produce better results for less.

I’m very lazy though

Trust me dude. Automatics are just as much work, harder to maintain, and make worse coffee. Don’t make a mistake

If you love making coffee and work at google you can afford a 2.5k espresso machine. Enjoy! ☕️

If it’ll make you happy, buy it! Don’t need validation from us. ☕️

Jura is garbage. Get a profitec, marzocco, etc

Tinder fobiano Mar 27

Exactly. Overpriced shit.

Marzocco makes consumer/tabletop machines? I’ve only seen the huge industrial ones
