People really don't have a clue

This week I had to stop by a mall (didn't go in from my car) and I saw countless people go in the mall with their kids some with masks and some without for back to school and the scene was chilling. We are in the worst thick upside tick of coronavirus cases and nothing has gotten better yet people are just tired so they go out. Risking it all. And I realized this is why Coronavirus will eventually infect all 8 billion people and have millions dead. And even then we won't have learned the lesson to stay the f*** home and don't go out. This could be an ebola virus and people wouldn't care after 4 months to be honest. People don't care jack shit about health. They're more worried about being bored than dying. So cheers, here is to 300 million Americans getting coronavirus one day. You, me. Everyone. Enjoy it people.

At least in US you can Blame this non seriousness on our supreme leader and coronavirus task force chief our first son in law alias jr supreme leader. What this country should have done was to produce N95 masks under war time act and provided each citizen a monthly ration of 10 masks. This would have solved most of the problem. Instead virus became a political issue. https://twitter.com/atrupar/status/1295009432833794049?s=20

We are making masks under the war time act they are just going to hospitals.... what is your news source

Acegrades tempot Aug 16, 2020

Then you would also know that these masks are being sold to other countries. Do you know how many N95 masks are being produced in the US? You are blinded by partisan politics and unfortunately we are heading towards something bad when the population is so polarized and full of hate for each other.

Masks are a joke

I'm assuming OP is practicing social distancing + wearing a mask. there are ways to be safe while going out, which many people fail to realize. my interpretation from a few people I know and the internet is that they think you either hardcore quarantine at your house, or you go out and say "fuck it".

We all have front row seats to “Decline of America”. And it not just coronavirus response. That is just e cherry on the top. Trump policies. Alienating allies, not giving a damn about climate change, nationalist and racist remarks, all will be instrumental in the steep decline. And he is going to be more fierce in second term. Enjoy the show. This is going to be a long and bumpy ride.

But, but, health is __the__ most expensive asset of most people!

I don't understand why when I go to Costco people are going shopping with the whole family still, and their kids aren't wearing masks. I have three kids. Leave them the fuck home and one person goes shopping. Or is that too hard, you need your hand held by your spouse to go buy food. GTFO

This is exactly my sentiments. Why I put this post. No need for kids to join you in grocery shopping especially with no masks. I swear. This country is f***ed with Corona.

Amazon scorchnhot Aug 22, 2020

Agree on masks. But don't assume everybody has a SO or family to support them, or babysitters they trust or can afford. I need to carry my two kids with me.

Cisco donbomb Aug 16, 2020

Wearing a mask has become a joke. I'm not saying that it doesn't protect you but the way it's being enforced or practiced is just comical.

Kids deals with COVID like Trump deals with the left

Brooklyn, NY resident. You would think if *anybody* knows to take this seriously by now, it should be New Yorkers. Last week they announced a surge in the COVID test positivity rate, in the neighborhood where I grew up. Just last weekend, guess what neighborhood the sheriff's office busted an illegal rave at ... people are fcking crazy, it's just that simple

The trouble is I actually stayed indoor for more than 2 months only to see no. cases going up and when people suddenly took to the streets en masse to loot and plunder I kind of lost the will to fight for others. Yes, I still social distance and wear masks but I am not really going to do major sacrifices like staying locked indoor (with energetic kids nonetheless that I also have to homeschool now), not going to a beach or park anymore. Also, I do remember the public discourse at the beginning of the pandemic was that we’ll stay indoor for a 3-4 weeks and get this under control. I lost my trust in authorities on the matter after that, I won’t put my life on hold for years...

It’s funny that nobody ever talks about how the original plan was 3-4 weeks to flatten the curve.
