Does it make sense to move family from Seattle to Bentonville, AR because of my job? More $$ in AR.

Strangers on the internet can’t answer that question for you. They can only give their answer as it relates to their own life and perspective, which isn’t applicable for you and your family. Do you own a home in Seattle? If not, do you want to own a home ever? Then perhaps Walmart is the right move for you and your family.

I heard once you're at Walmart in AR, there's nothing else around and you have to move again when you want to switch jobs.

Just check photos and video of city, looks like a dump. Go visit once if still in doubt. What if you get laid off, where would you rather be living to find next job?

Christ on a stick, no. I grew up in that area. It was a cultural shit hole then, it’s a cultural shit hole now…just with more Walmart money. Sure, you can buy a nice house, but your kids will marry rednecks and your grandkids will be trapped in hell and wonder why you sentenced them to a life in the red hat southern Baptist pickup truck gun carrying “Four State Area.”

“I grew up in that area” (and clearly no longer lives there).. and then proceeds to say how OPs kids will be doomed to live there for the rest of their lives if they move there and they’ll be forced to marry rednecks 🤦‍♂️

My dude, 90% of the people I grew up with are still there, selling cars or insurance or working for TAMKO, a roofing company. A lot of them are dead from meth overdoses or altercation with cops. My 8th grade BFF is literally in jail for stealing a car. Getting out is fucking hard. Obviously it can be done, but the wind is not at your back.
