How long do you usually read every day?

Referring to reading non-work related stuff only. Could be books, audiobooks, articles, magazines, news etc. but not directly related to work Edit: those reading more than 1 hour per day, what are you reading and how do you make time for it? :) #mentalhealth #burnout

Interestingly Iā€™d prefer to read non-work related stuff outside of working hours šŸ˜ Maybe because Iā€™m not that nerd and donā€™t want to get burnout šŸ„²

I try to read 10 pages from a physical book every night before bed. Realistically average about 5 pages.

Do audiobooks count as reading? šŸ¤”

And if so, does getting pestered by your wife count as listening to an audiobook (and therefore, ā€œreadingā€)?

Would reading books to my toddler count? Because I read for like an hour everyday to her

4+ hours of Reddit, Blind, HN, Bogleheads, Google News, and sometimes niche hobby websites. Not healthy reading, but the key is restlessly looking at my phone whenever I am not actively doing something. I can get in 1.5 hours during meals, 1 hr before bed, 30 mins in the morning, and another 1-2 hrs sporadically throughout the day.

If podcasts and youtube videos count then I do abt 1-2 hrs/day.
