Stocks pay you money. Crypto is supposed to be a currency, but the value is ridiculously unstable and it's only usable with a tiny fraction of sellers. It's completely useless as a currency, and the only value it has is that people selling it want you to believe it will deflate forever.
Nobody has anything "invested" in crypto.
