I am not a Tesla fanboy, and I don't own their vehicles. My Tesla exposure is less than 1% of my portfolio. So, from the investor's eye, I think Tesla is fairly valued. Maybe they are a little undervalued, considering they have very little debt. Their autonomous driving tech is far behind others. Tesla could become a significant player in the AI+Robotics area. The charging network is also a big part of them. I think Tesla is a group of multiple related businesses.
As they keep scaling, their operational margins are going to drop further down in line with automotive industry. Their valuation is like a Tech company and margins and other financials are like an automotive company and it’s always going to be a tug of war unless they start selling their tech to other companies for good margins.

That's a good point. Tesla and Elon have a big fan base that significantly influences the market.
If you want to tune a good entry long, look at the gamma levels on the options chain. Tesla is one of the best stocks for that strategy because volatility and iv is so high on it. I would t really consider it an investment as much as a gamble though.
Profit margin per car has been decreasing. Less demand, more competitors. People are realizing electric cars have disadvantages.

It’s more than just a disadvantage. People don’t want them. Electric cars are mostly a Silicon Valley thing honestly. 40% of Americans rent and therefore don’t have a place to charge their car. Going to the “gas station” takes an hour or two.
