Is portland worth a visit when its cloudy

Booked a flight for the next weekend but seems like its cloudy. luckily no hotel booked. change fee is pretty high. thinking of dropping the flight itself since its cloudy or should i just go even if its cloudy

Not worth it

Well it's cloudy like 200 days / year. People enjoy cloudy days there all the time.

Nah

Don’t understand why are you so hesitant. Anywhere you travel it could happen. Also keep an eye on the weather because predictions change.

i dont want it to rain when i am hiking or visiting waterfalls - is it another seattle

Intel rrdW07 Apr 28

Well, that’s how hiking is done in Portland. And yes it is considered the same climate as in Seattle. If you want to go hiking and reduce chances of rain, you should go to Central Oregon instead (eg Bend)

The weather forecasts in Portland are biased to making you think it's going to rain. Most times when it says rain, it actually just rains a bit then sun will peek out later in the day Honestly those moments of partly cloudy is the best IMO.

hmm do you live there? is it chilly right now.

Yep, it was sprinkling earlier but now the sun is shining. For California standards, yea probably a bit chilly. A couple days ago though it was pretty warm and I was wearing shorts
